Plant Description: This Callistemon incorporates 2 of the most popular Callistemon varieties on the market, 'Captain Cook' and 'Little John'. It has a more compact growth habit than 'Captain Cook and a better flower presentation than 'Little John', and it also establishes faster once planted
Uses: Hedges
Position & Tolerances: Full sun to part shade. Frost and drought tolerant
Height & Width: 1.8m high x 1.5m wide
Flowers: Red bottlebrush flowers from September to November
Foliage: Fresh green toned foliage
Soil Type: Most soil conditions
Best Planting Time: March to October
Planting Density: 1-1.5 plants per linear metre (1-2 plants per m²)
Where it thrives: QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA and WA
Pruning: Prune 1-3 times per year after flowering for a tidy Callistemon hedge. More frequent pruning will provide a tidier hedge

Establishment & Extra Care:

Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established.
Plant in a well mulched garden, a chunky mulch is recommended.
Use slow release fertiliser in spring, if required.
In sandy soils and very dry climates, top up watering in summer will be beneficial.
