Plant Description: This Nandina is an improved selection of the popular 'Gulf Stream' Nandina, getting to about the same height, but the Obsession™ plant has the added bonus of bright red new growth throughout spring, summer and autumn, with a full flush of red in winter
Uses: Low hedge (also as a shrub or feature plant)
Position & Tolerances: Full sun to moderate shade. Drought and cold tolerant
Height & Width: 60-70cm high x 60-70cm wide
Foliage: Red new growth through autumn, spring and summer. Full flush of red in winter
Soil Type: Well drained soils
Best Planting Time: March to November
Planting Density: 2-3 plants per linear metre (3-6 plants per m²)
Where it thrives: QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, NT, SA and WA
Pruning: Prune every 2-3 years if required
Establishment & Extra Care:
Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established.
Plant in a well mulched garden, a chunky mulch is recommended.
Use slow release fertiliser in spring, if required.
