Plant Description: This is an attractive large shrub/small tree with dense foliage that has ever changing colour. It is great for hedging
Uses: Hedging (or as a specimen plant)
Position & Tolerances: Full sun to part shade. Drought and cold tolerant. Highly Myrtle Rust Resistant. Psyllid Resistant. Fire Retardant
Height & Width: 6m high x 2.5m wide
Flowers: Clusters of small white flowers from October to December
Foliage: Glossy, rounded, broad deep green foliage, with new growth that flushes red to deep claret, then changes to a chocolate colour before hardening off to dark green
Soil Type: Well drained to heavy clay soils
Best Planting Time: March to November
Planting Density: 1 plant per 1-2 linear metres (1 plants per 1-5m²)
Where it thrives: NSW, QLD, VIC, SA & WA
Pruning: Prune yearly for a tidy hedge, or for a natural shape, every 2-3 years or not at all

Establishment & Extra Care:

Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established.
Plant in a well mulched garden, a chunky mulch is recommended.
Use slow release fertiliser in spring, if required.
